For more than 25 years, Sandy has led security operations for events of every size and complexity. Combined with her early career in convention hospitality, her experience has shaped a client-first philosophy rooted in operational excellence, collaboration, and exceptional service.
Yousef Kassis
Vice President of Operations
With more than 15 years of experience in event security planning and operations, Yousef oversees company-wide operations while supporting both Imperial’s consulting and security services divisions. He also serves as Director of Risk Management for San Diego Comic-Con, WonderCon, and VidCon, helping lead security strategy for some of the industry’s most recognized events.
Jara Blash
National Director of Consulting
Jara has spent more than a decade leading planning and operational coordination for many of the nation’s largest trade shows and conventions, including San Diego Comic-Con. She directs teams of up to 50 event managers and is recognized for her expertise in complex event operations and client collaboration.

Bringing deep expertise in incident response, risk assessment, and operational planning for complex events, Edward leads Imperial’s guard operations. Imperial’s story began in 1993, when the newly opened Pennsylvania Convention Center selected the company to provide event security services. From the beginning, Imperial earned a reputation for professionalism, reliability, and exceptional client service.
In 2002, new ownership expanded the company into a leading regional security provider, supporting commercial properties, construction projects, retail environments, and event venues throughout the Philadelphia area. While the business continued to grow, events remained at the heart of what we enjoyed most. In 2017, we made a deliberate decision to focus exclusively on events. The company was rebranded as Imperial Events Security Services, allowing us to dedicate our full attention to planning, coordinating, and supporting exceptional event experiences.
Today, our leadership team brings decades of expertise across conventions, festivals, sporting events, entertainment venues, and corporate gatherings. We combine strategic planning, operational leadership, and experienced event professionals to help clients execute successful events with confidence.
